4 beautiful bike tours with stops at mountain huts

Cheese dumplings, Kaiserschmarrn, traditional snacks - just three reasons why every bike tour should include at least one hut to stop at. If you feel the same way, here are four tours you'll love!

#1 Seealm: LE04 | Grießner Almen-Runde

The 35 km long tour leads you over comfortable climbs and short descents to our neighboring province Tyrol. On the way back along the cycle path in the valley, we take a break at the Seealm, where delicacies such as homemade mozzarella are already waiting for us. Well refreshed, we then head back to the village of Leogang.

#2 Örgenbauernalm & Berggasthof Biberg: SA04 | Biberg Tour

On this tour there are two huts waiting for you. After 15 turns and 500 meters of altitude difference you already reach the mountain hut Örgenbauernalm, and the mountain hut Bergrestaurant Biberg awaits you at the top. When and where you stop is up to you, of course. We would recommend both in any case!

#3 Steinalm: SA01 | Steinalm Tour

From the town hall square in Saalfelden, head via Obsmarkt in the direction of Bachwinkl. When you reach the Wiechenthaler Hütte car park, keep right and follow the forest road with several switchbacks up to the picturesquely situated mountain hut Steinalm. After a refreshing break with snacks and a magnificent view of the surrounding valleys, take the same route back to Saalfelden.

#4 Lindlalm: LE03 | Spielbergalm Tour

Always along the river Schwarzleobach, it goes 500 meters uphill to the end of the valley. Here a short pushing passage awaits you. Via a short forest and meadow path you reach the mountain hut Lindlalm. This cozy alpine hut, with a magnificent panorama and pure alpine idyll, makes you quickly forget the climb. Be sure to try the delicious so-called "Almwuzl" from Resi!

And to make sure that you are never faced with a closed hut door, here is an overview of the current hut opening times.
