Only a few days to go until the European mountain bike scene looks forward to Saalfelden Leogang. Next weekend at the Biketember Festival, Europe's best downhillers will be battling it out for the final points and thus the best places in the overall ranking of the iXS European Downhill Cup - with numerous local mountain bike pros taking part.
With the Biketember Festival, the Saalfelden Leogang bike region entered the home stretch of the current contest season last weekend. From children's races to the series finale of the iXS European Downhill Cup, the wide range of mountain biking disciplines was once again on offer.
When the hottest riders on the European mountain bike scene battle for important points for the last time this season from 15 to 17 September, it can only mean one thing: The Biketember Festival in Saalfelden Leogang is back on stage.
Since the beginning of June, experienced riders can shred the Matzalm-Trail. This challenging single trail has demanding switchbacks, various sorts of terrain and the breathtaking panorama of Leogang’s Steinberge in store.
Quitting when and where it's best: Austria's downhill figurehead Markus Pekoll is ending his impressive career and is also coming to the place where he celebrated so many successes on his farewell tour: To the iXS European Downhill Cup Final as part of the Biketember Festival in Saalfelden Leogang.
The 38th Saalfelden International Jazz Festival begins today and visitors are not only enjoying the music but also the glorious weather. The whole town is in jazz fever and has been transformed into one big stage.
From 15 to 17 September, the Biketember Festival will once again put the Saalfelden Leogang region in the spotlight of the mountain bike scene. The highlight of the event: the season finale of the iXS European Downhill Cup at Bikepark Leogang.
The VOLXOMMER theatre festival was ceremoniously opened in the parish hall in Leogang. The series of events kicked off with the comedy "Betrogene Betrüger" by Peter Blaikner. The theatre festival, which runs until 20 August, is completed by Till Eulenspiegel.

2017 marks the 38th anniversary of the International Jazz Festival. With 37 concerts over four days, the organisers always succeed in making the hearts of music lovers beat faster. Guests can attend 16 of the 37 concerts free of charge.
