The Carinthian quartet paints loudly, trills wildly, and plays with a joy that exists somewhere between tavern music, chamber music, and a carefully controlled meltdown. Musical virtuosity meets down-to-earth lyrics, sociable humptata collides with great poetry, Carinthian dialect with dadaist exuberance. In their original compositions, Klakradl let world music, folk music, experimentation, and wit flow together so naturally, as if they had always belonged together.
