Midsummer bonfire
The mountain ridges are glowing with fire: In good weather, you can watch the traditional lighting of the solstice bonfires on the surrounding mountain ranges from around 10.00 pm. Around the Asitz, this creates an impressive panorama with numerous glowing fire sites. Please note: The lighting of the mountain bonfires is weather-dependent and will only take place if conditions are suitable.
There is also plenty on offer away from the summit cross: At the traditional AsitzBräu, food, drinks and music will be well taken care of. In addition to live music by the band “Die Wilden Kaiser”, visitors can enjoy culinary highlights à la carte.
For the evening hike, we recommend sturdy footwear and warm clothing.
Programme:
Special operation of the Asitzbahn cable car continuously from 5.00 pm to midnight
Ascent and descent: €24. Children born in 2011 or later travel free of charge. Special price from 5.00 pm.
Special rides are not included for season pass and annual pass holders.
From 09.00 pm: Hike to the Kleiner Asitz, approx. 20–30 minutes
From 10.00 pm: Lighting of the solstice bonfires
The Alpenverein Leogang and the Leoganger Bergbahnen also kindly ask visitors to refrain from using fireworks out of respect for the environment and wildlife.
