Henri Texier „Healing Songs“
France
Henri Texier - bass
Sébastien Texier – saxophones, clarinet
tba
Gautier Garrigue – drums
With “Healing Songs”, Henri Texier looks back on six decades of musical creation. In the face of an increasingly disturbing world, the French bassist has selected nine earlier compositions that have brought him comfort and whose power he now wishes to share with his audience. Together with a newly formed quintet, he reinterprets these pieces in the classic hard bop lineup. Between lyrical melodies, powerful grooves and open improvisations, a music emerges that connects memory and the present – and seeks to convey hope.
