Active Mountains

Determination is very important in mountain sports, but being able to let go at the right time is often more difficult than trying to achieve a goal by hook or by crook. As a young alpinist, I often didn't want to realize this, but the mountain was not always stronger than me, but very often. Setbacks and failure are part of the normal development process and at the same time they increase the value of the tour or the goal.

Only after very many years, demanding mountain tours throughout the Alps and an expedition to Nepal, I felt ready for the mountain guide training. In 2015, I passed the final exam in Chamonix and since then I have been practicing my craft as a state-certified mountain and ski guide full-time as conscientiously as possible and with full pleasure. Since 2017 I have been living in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer, my new adopted home in the beautiful Pinzgau region. Beautiful are the mountains here and the active - possibilities manifold. Almost every free day I look for new adventures and explore new paths for me and my guests, whether on the rock, on skis or from the air with my paraglider. With Active Mountains it is certainly never boring!
