On Canada’s West Coast, not far from Seattle in the US and situated directly across from Vancouver, lies the city of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. It remains unearthed whether it was in this very beautiful spot, of all places, that the realization first dawned that our planet is, in fact, not flat. What is a fact, however, is that it was right there—in a haunted, spellbound basement—that “Earthball” was born. Originally conceived out of necessity (the band had landed a great gig but still lacked a great name), these five "heavyweight psychedelic improvisers" have since released several albums bearing such earthy titles as “Go To Earth”, “Actual Earth”, and “Outside Over There”, and have toured extensively throughout their homeland and Europe—including a performance at Le Guess Who? festival in Utrecht. It is said that Earthball makes headliners nervous, for “they remain a guiding light for those seeking a transcendental musical experience”.
