tuated directly across from Vancouver\, lies the city of Nanaimo on Vancou
ver Island. It remains unearthed whether it was in this very beautiful spo
t\, of all places\, that the realization first dawned that our planet is\,
in fact\, not flat. What is a fact\, however\, is that it was right there
—in a haunted\, spellbound basement—that “Earthball” was born. Originally
conceived out of necessity (the band had landed a great gig but still lack
ed a great name)\, these five 'heavyweight psychedelic improvisers' have s
ince released several albums bearing such earthy titles as “Go To Earth”\,
“Actual Earth”\, and “Outside Over There”\, and have toured extensively t
hroughout their homeland and Europe—including a performance at Le Guess Wh
o? festival in Utrecht. It is said that Earthball makes headliners nervous
\, for “they remain a guiding light for those seeking a transcendental mus
 ical experience”.
