As early as 2020, this "Concrete Armadillo" cemented its raw, defiant energy at the Saalfelden Jazz Festival at Nexus. The trio, led by guitarist Severin Trogbacher, also known as a sideman for Hubert von Goisern, Konstantin Wecker, and Conchita Wurst, features two other heavyweights of the Viennese scene: keyboardist Philipp Nykrin and drummer Herbert Pirker. "Trogbacher brings an energy that oscillates between the rock club and the jazz stage—an experience for anyone who enjoys listening across genre boundaries," observes Max von Pretz, curator of the Alto Adige Jazz Festival.
