We, that is Petra and Christian Hofer from Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer. Both of us have been enthusiastic small animal breeders for many years and that is how our fascination for alpacas began - with a small animal show.
In 2013, during a visit to a small animal show that also featured alpacas, we fell in love with these animals. We were immediately "on fire" and engaged in many conversations with the breeders and sought information online to learn everything about these wonderful, exotic beings.
Our enthusiasm grew and grew until we finally decided to keep alpacas in addition to our small animals.
In May 2014, the time had come. The first alpacas moved in with us.
If you want to dress healthy and natural, we offer a selection of products made from the finest alpaca wool, which you can purchase starting in September at the weekly market in Saalfelden or at our home.
You can of course also visit us personally on site in Saalfelden (Salzburg) to learn more about breeding, keeping, and caring for the alpacas or simply to be inspired by the wool and the products. Or you can just take a hike with the alpacas at the foot of the Steinernen Meer.
