A perfect day for mountain and nature lovers
- Park at the base station of the Steinberg lift where free parking is available.
- Your first highlight of the day is a scenic ride on the gondola lift, with fantastic mountain views from the Leoganger Steinberge to the Steinernes Meer in Saalfelden. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see as far as the Hochkönig mountain in Maria Alm.
- Your first moderate walk (approx. 45 min) takes you directly to the summit cross of the Großer Asitz at 1,914 m and a mountain lake.
- You’ll walk past the TONspur Islands on your way back.
- After a refreshment break at the hut, enjoy FOREST BATHING - Shrinrin Yoku on the Asitz.
- On the new hiking trail "Shinrin yoku - Forest bathing at the Asitz" you have two options: Part 1 to the Steinbergbahn mid station, or part 2 to the bottom station of the Steinbergbahn.
