Tour along Lake Zell to the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun
Start at Saalfelden railway station, pass Ritzensee lake and head south along quiet side roads with views of Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn. On the eastern shore of Lake Zell, you cross the nature reserve and European protected area. Follow the lake canal to Kaprun. There, a fine gravel path leads over Lake Klamm to the valley station of the Kitzsteinhorn panorama cable car – with impressive views of the glacier world.
The return route takes you past Zell am See airfield, along the esplanade on the lake shore. From there, the route leads via Maishofen on beautiful gravel paths back to Saalfelden.
