The demanding tour to the Birnhorn, the highest peak of the Leoganger Steinberge, requires a very early start due to the length and alpine difficulty. A secured via ferrata must be mastered below the Kuchlnieder. A stopover at the Passauer Hütte is ideal; there is also the possibility to stay overnight and split the tour over two days. Suitable only for experienced, sure-footed, and fearless climbers.
