This compact 21.1-km mountain bike loop in the Saalfelden-Leogang region is ideal for anyone looking to rack up a good amount of elevation gain in a short amount of time. With 710 meters of climbing and a ride time of just over 2 hours, the tour is perfect for an intense workout or as an after-work ride. Starting from Leogang, the route first heads to the neighborhood of Hütten. There, you can admire the Epic Bikepark Leogang, which has hosted various Mountain Bike World Cups and World Championships on multiple occasions. The tour continues past the bike park into the Schwarzleotal valley, where the climb begins. Although the climb is challenging, you’ll soon be rewarded with a view of the Leogang Mountains. In good weather, an impressive panorama unfolds that makes every bit of effort worthwhile. About three-quarters of the way up, another biking highlight awaits. An information sign at the start of the UCI MTB downhill course invites you to take a closer look. From the highest point at 1,465 meters, the trail descends at a gentle gradient. From the first hairpin turn, you ride along the Dunkelkendlbach stream back to the starting point in Leogang.
