Music, socialising and a strong sense of community were once again at the heart of Suma Hoagascht in Saalfelden Leogang this summer. On three evenings, the forecourt of Leogang Middle School was transformed into a meeting place for locals and visitors alike, with free admission. Musical entertainment was provided by the Leogang brass band, Hollerstauden and Trio Infernal. Local businesses and associations treated guests to a selection of regional specialities.
Support that makes a real difference in Saalfelden Leogang
For organisers Katharina, Anna and Elisabeth Madreiter, supporting people in their own community is particularly important. Everyday life with a child with additional needs can bring many challenges. Through Suma Hoagascht, the three organisers aim to make a tangible difference to the lives of affected families, offering direct support and showing them that they can rely on their community. The results speak for themselves: Suma Hoagascht 2026 raised a total of €11,200. All proceeds will benefit four families in Leogang who have children with additional needs. The donation cheques were presented on Sunday, 18 October.
Achieving more together
Suma Hoagascht would not be possible year after year without the commitment of numerous supporters, associations, businesses and volunteers. The Saalfelden Leogang Tourist Board helps make the event series possible, including by funding the stage and musical performances. Leogang municipality and the Freiraum Leogang cultural association also play an important role in its success. A key partner is Stockis Mountain Distillery, which not only supports the event through its own stall but also provides practical assistance and makes an additional donation. A wide variety of culinary delights is provided by LEOs, Priesteregg, the “Loigom Hoit Zomm” association, local holiday apartment providers and the food trucks Gauchos del Gusto, Onyx Smash and Crazy Cakes. The holiday apartment providers also delight younger visitors with face painting, bringing smiles to children's faces year after year. Wedl and Hofbräuhaus Traunstein also support the project as sponsors. Special thanks go to the many volunteers whose time, energy and dedication make a vital contribution to turning Suma Hoagascht into a celebration for the entire community.
“The €11,200 raised is a fantastic achievement and shows what can be accomplished when people come together and work towards a common goal. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who supports Suma Hoagascht, lends a hand, donates and believes in our idea. None of this would be possible without this wonderful community,” say organisers Katharina, Anna and Elisabeth Madreiter.
