Planned start of skiing on 2 December

On 2 December 2022, the Skicircus will start the winter season. Exciting news awaits you!

For those who are not already familiar with the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieber-brunn, the first thing you will grin about is the long name. However, just as long as the name is are the list of opportunities in the coolest ski region of the Alps. The region, which covers two Austrian states, not only combines 270 kilometres of piste, 70 modern lifts and 60 cosy, stylish huts but also has a special feeling: The spirit of the Home of Lässig – or in other words: the pure feeling of happi-ness! This feeling is what fun-loving families, sporty Alpine skiers and freeriders will all find here.

How do you define this feeling of happiness? For some, it is the caring attitude and warmth that is experienced from the hotel to the ski school – for others, it is the perfection of the prepared pistes and the ultra-modern lifts. Or is it the deep virgin snow and the “face shots” that bring a smile to your face? The Home of Lässig is all about joie de vivre, cosiness, and variety, for a diversified and unique experience, that will live forever in your memory.

New in winter 2022/23:

Asitzkogelbahn in Leogang
Comfort and range of slopes perfected in the Asitzmulde!

A wonderful ski winter is in the starting blocks. And in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, the signs are once again set for improved comfort and modernisation. With the open-ing of the new 8-seater chairlift "Asitzkogelbahn" the last bottleneck in the Asitzmulde will be elim-inated.
After 20 years of operation, the detachable 6-seater chairlift Sportbahn 2000 was carefully disman-tled last summer and given a second life in a Polish ski resort in the spirit of sustainability. In its place, after several months of construction, a new highlight was created for optimum skiing pleas-ure: a state-of-the-art detachable 8-seater chairlift with weather protection bonnet and safety bar from Doppelmayr with a capacity of 3,700 passengers per hour.
Managing Director of the Leoganger Bergbahnen, Kornel Grundner, is delighted with the quality improvement in the Asitzmulde and explains: "This last piece of the puzzle had been on the agenda for some time, but Covid put the implementation on hold for the time being. At the end of January 2022, however, the go-ahead was given and with the start of the season, all winter sports enthusi-asts can look forward not only to a state-of-the-art fast lift, but also to an even wider and more comfortable slope in the area of the valley station. In terms of design, the station buildings fit per-fectly into the line of the Steinbergbahn, Muldenbahn and Asitzgipfelbahn and also include heated group rooms and lockers. A photovoltaic system on the south side of the valley station provides green solar power to run the underfloor heating in service rooms, toilet facilities and lounge."

Facts:
Length: approx. 800 m
Transport capacity: 3,700 persons/hour
Speed: 6 m/sec
Height difference: 236.5 m
Travel time: 2.9 min

Really sustainable: The old 6-seater chairlift Sportbahn 2000 was carefully dismantled by specialists at the Leogang site and will be turning in the Polish ski resort Master-Ski Tylicz from this winter. Thus, after 20 years of good service in the Skicircus, the lift was given a second life in the service of winter sports!
