Alongside the spectacular races, visitors can look forward to a diverse side program featuring expo & team areas, signing sessions, family activities, sustainable mobility offers, and countless bike experiences for all age groups.
While around 800 athletes from 40 nations promise world-class sporting action in Saalfelden Leogang, more than 20,000 visitors can also enjoy a wide-ranging program beyond the race tracks. The WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series not only impresses with World Cup races in the formats Cross-Country Olympic, Cross-Country Short Track, Downhill, and Enduro, but above all with the unique atmosphere created throughout the race weekend. In the Expo Area and Team Areas, fans can immerse themselves in the world of mountain biking, gain insights into the daily life of race teams, and experience numerous additional activations.
Up Close with the World Cup Stars
One of the special highlights of the program is the signing session with the FOX athletes on Saturday. Another major attraction awaits at the booth of Austria’s largest bike region, Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, where local hero Vali Höll will host an autograph session. Traditionally, she can count on tremendous support during her home World Cup.
At Sport Mitterer, visitors can design their own personalized “Customized Stance Socks” and create a unique World Cup souvenir. RockShox also invites guests to relax and connect with Morning Coffee served by Satellite Coffee & Misspent Summers. Another popular meeting point will be the Commencal booth, where a Sunday Morning Brunch is planned. Monster Energy will also create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the World Cup weekend in the Teams & Expo Area, featuring a Hot Spot Activation on Saturday as well as After Race Parties from Friday to Sunday together with Austrian dirt jumper and freerider Elias Ruso.
The next generation will also take center stage during the World Cup weekend. The program kicks off with a kids’ press conference involving local schoolchildren, designed to bring young bike fans closer to the excitement of the UCI World Cup. On Friday, the “School Day” follows: registered school classes receive free admission and can also look forward to goodie bags.
Following in the Tracks of the World Cup Pros
A special highlight for ambitious amateur riders is the Enduro Open Racing format. It gives hobby riders the opportunity to race on the exact same stages as the professionals competing in the UCI Enduro World Cup. Participants start only a few hours before the pros and can compare their times directly with the world’s best under the same conditions. This makes the feeling of racing like a pro more accessible than ever before.
Sustainable and Free Travel Options
The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Saalfelden Leogang is also setting strong standards when it comes to event organization. A free, supervised bike parking area makes traveling by bike even easier. In addition, the event ticket also serves as a public transport ticket throughout the entire province of Salzburg, enabling sustainable and convenient travel to and from the venue. Regular shuttle buses between Saalfelden and Leogang ensure comfortable transportation for visitors.
A new World Cup app will provide up-to-date information and improved orientation on-site. Active visitors can also make the most of the region’s bike offerings: anyone wishing to explore the open lines and trails themselves during the World Cup weekend will receive a 10% discount on bike tickets.
Worldwide Live Broadcast
For everyone unable to attend in person, the final races will be broadcast live on platforms including Eurosport, HBO Max, Discovery+, SRG, Direct TV, MTB World Series TV, FloSports, L’Équipe, Stan, VRT & RTL, and Czech TV. In Austria, the races will be shown for the first time on K19. The broadcaster is available both online and via terrestrial television and has been covering renowned cycling events such as the Tour of Austria and the Ötztaler Radmarathon for many years.
The WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in Saalfelden Leogang is therefore far more than just a race weekend: it is a meeting point for the international bike community, an experience for families, an adventure for amateur riders, and a strong statement for sustainable event organization.
