9th Regionality Fair Saalfelden

Regionality and sustainability - two keywords that have become increasingly important in our society in recent years. Saalfelden Leogang also attaches great importance to regional marketing and resource-conserving measures and has developed into one of the most sustainable regions in SalzburgerLand with many new projects. The great commitment was recently rewarded: Saalfelden Leogang has been certified with the Austrian Ecolabel for Destinations - as the third region in Austria. 

 

"Regional products in the spotlight" - this is the motto of the ninth edition of the regionality fair in Saalfelden Leogang in 2024. It is an event organised by Congress Saalfelden and Saalfelden Leogang Touristik with the aim of strengthening the bond between local producers and guests or locals. "We want to give our local businesses and farmers the opportunity to present and sell their products or offer visitors tastings. From specialities and foods such as bacon, bread or milk directly from the farms, to unique craftsmanship and herbal products, the regionality fair is primarily intended to showcase the diversity of the region," explains Theresa Eder from the organisation team and Marketing and Event Manager at Saalfelden Leogang Touristik.
14 April 2024 will therefore be a day dedicated entirely to regionality. In addition to a large number of exhibitors, programme items for younger visitors and musical entertainment will ensure a varied trade fair experience.

 

In line with this sustainability concept, the regional fair is organised as a GREEN EVENT SALZBURG. This means that the event is organised as sustainably and environmentally friendly as possible. Drinks and food are sourced from the region and waste is avoided as far as possible. 
 

The programme:
- 10.00 am: Start of the 9th regionality fair
- All day: Wide selection of local products: Schnapps, liqueurs, handicraft and decorative goods, textiles & accessories, natural cosmetics made from herbs, cheese, bacon and sausage products and much more.
- All day: Musical supporting programme by "D'Zrupftn"
- All day: Trade fair restaurant with culinary delicacies from Austrian Tapas and coffee & cake from Lebenshilfe Saalfelden
- All day: Varied children's programme from Saalfelden town marketing
- All day: Vintage car exhibition by Pinzgauer Oldtimer in front of the Congress Centre
- All day: Participation programme and tastings for young and old at the stands

 

In addition to the well-known and valued exhibitors, you can also look forward to a few new stands and highlights this year. The Zwergalladen, Garnhex Stickerei and stitchedAT, for example, will be producing creative gift ideas, embroidery, accessories and headbands. Ois Hausgmocht offers the finest fish specialities and you can buy high-quality sausage and meat products at the Liebmannhof farm shop. Natural cosmetic products as well as ointments, herbs and much more are available at the TEH (Traditional European Healing) stand.
 

Other highlights include the barbecue station of Fleischhauerei Fürstauer and fresh craft beer from Salzburg from the producer "WOIF - Der Biersieder". Gerhard Schöpp, who makes stringed and bowed instruments, offers a glimpse into the world of musical instrument making. Anton Sommerer shows visitors the art of Pinzgau fencing and you can look over the shoulder of the Weißensteiner ceramics workshop as they make pottery.
