Saalfelden Leogang has developed into a real bastion of cross-country skiing and biathlon in Austria over the years, featuring 80 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails that are perfectly groomed every day to suit all requirements and styles.

Safe cross-country skiing winter
- Keep at least 1 metre distance (better as much as possible) from strangers.
- 3G (recovered, tested, vaccinated) applies on the trails.
- The FIS rules, especially the points "Keeping the distance, overtaking and stopping" will be strictly controlled this year.
- Due to the equipment (length of the skis approx. 1.9 metres and long cross-country ski poles), keeping your distance is easy to implement.
- Do not shake hands or hug.
- There is basically no risk of transmission through contact surfaces on the cross-country track.
- Sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm or into a handkerchief.
- All staff in contact with guests always wear mouth/nose protection.
- All staff have been trained on hygiene and safety measures as well as the correct behaviour in case of suspicion. In addition, regular testing is carried out in the establishments.
- Cross-country skiers are asked to stay away from the trails if there is/has been contact with confirmed or suspected cases.
- Cross-country skiers are asked to stay away if they feel ill or have experienced Covid-19 symptoms (e.g. sore throat, cough, fever, loss of taste).
