TONspur concert V - Kathrin & Werner Unterlercher goes symponic
With “Kathrin & Werner Unterlercher goes symphonic”, TONspur V presents an extraordinary concert experience. With their programme “HARPHONIC”, the duo fulfils a long-held dream: performing their music together with their own symphony orchestra.
At the heart of their sound lies the unique combination of Tyrolean folk harp and classical double bass. Surrounded by rich symphonic textures, their compositions unfold in a new and captivating way, balancing tradition and innovation.
The Tyrolean duo is well established in the world of alpine music. Werner Unterlercher tours internationally as a long-time member of the Herbert Pixner Project, while Kathrin Unterlercher focuses on composing her own music. Together, they impress audiences with musical precision, creativity and strong stage presence.
Well-known pieces such as “Flowers”, “Orphan Black” and “Eldorado” are reimagined in orchestral arrangements. Supported by outstanding musicians and the renowned Varga Quartet, their music spans from the roots of folk music to genre-crossing symphonic soundscapes.
The Varga Quartet, one of the most established chamber music ensembles in Central Europe, adds depth and finesse with its sensitive and technically brilliant interpretations.
In good weather, visitors can hike to the TONspur stage by the reservoir at the foot of the Großer Asitz. In case of bad weather, the TONspur concert will take place at the AsitzBräu.
