TONspur concert IV - Hanke Brothers

Four brothers, four instruments and a shared vision: the Hanke Brothers stand for musical diversity, curiosity and the courage to explore new artistic paths. With recorder, tuba, piano, and viola, they create a distinctive sound that blends classical music with jazz, pop, and improvisation.

David, Lukas, Jonathan, and Fabian Hanke captivate audiences with a unique musical “dialect” that challenges expectations and redefines how their instruments are perceived. No concert is ever the same – each performance is full of surprises, virtuosity and infectious energy.

Awarded the title “JM artist” by Jeunesses Musicales Germany and honoured with the OPUS KLASSIK 2024 (young talent category), the quartet is among the most exciting ensembles of the new classical generation. They are regularly invited to perform at renowned festivals.

Each brother brings his own musical path and personality to the group: David Hanke explores new sonic possibilities on the recorder across genres and formats. Lukas Hanke enchants with a warm viola sound and a passion for music education. Jonathan Hanke combines classical, jazz and composition into a versatile musical language. Fabian Hanke redefines the tuba with surprising stylistic range and expressive depth.

In case of bad weather, the TONspur concert will take place at the AsitzBräu.
You can take the Asitz cable car up during its normal operating hours and also between 05.30 pm and 06.30 pm.
