Niklas Nieschlag - rap, dance
Max Rademacher - contrabassclarinet, saxophone
Max Boehm - saxophones
Leon Saleh - drums
A while ago Krautrock came from Cologne’s communes, today four Fish-Heads from Hamburg serve up "Potato Rap" —without any harmonic instruments, but various saxophones instead, a contrabass clarinet, heavy-hitting drums, and the most self-deprecating rapper on the coast—one who, lyrically speaking, prefers quoting Scrooge McDuck to cat-calling sons of bitches. In between, set against a backdrop of gritty Hip-Hop-Prog-Rock-Techno grooves, the saxophones take center stage with soaring solos, while the "Mercedes Bounce" gets down with a dance routine to match. "Whether danceable, melancholic, or hitting you right in the gut: This emotional rollercoaster leaves nothing to chance, takes no prisoners, and is guaranteed to leave no eye dry," as their self-description puts it.
