When Life Became the Steepest Mountain
Andy Holzer was born blind – and grows up with the belief that the world is open to him. Even as a child, he discovered the mountains. Where others see, he feels rock, wind, and snow. With courage, imagination, and his mountain friends, he reaches the summit of Mount Everest in 2017.
However, in 2025, life presents him with his greatest challenge: An aneurysm and a severe brain hemorrhage bring him to the brink between life and death. Supported by his family and his life partner Gabi, he fights his way back.
