Andrea Grossegger is still the only biathlete to have won a medal at world championships. Behind a Russian and Norwegian, she captured the bronze medal in Chamonix, France in 1984. Numerous Austrian championship titles and the 6 times overall victory of the World Classic Trophy, as well as successful winner of renowned Volklangläufe are on her list of successes.
