Tour from Saalfelden to the beautiful Pillersee lake in Tyrol
Start in Saalfelden, initially on quiet side roads towards Leogang, with views of the Leoganger Steinberge mountains and the Großer Asitz. Passing the Seealm, the route climbs up to Hochfilzen – the transition from the Salzburg region to the Tyrolean Pillerseetal valley. There you will find one of the most beautiful and picturesque sections right by the Pillersee lake, ideal for a short break and to enjoy the scenery.
The return route is mostly gently downhill and easy to manage. At around 47 kilometres and 440 metres of elevation gain, the route is technically easy and perfect for a relaxed afternoon ride – suitable for anyone who wants to enjoy a leisurely gravel ride and the lake panorama.
