From October 17 to 31, 2025, Saalfelden Leogang once again presents Theater Autumn, inviting audiences to enjoy a diverse and top-class program. The award-winning ensemble Theater ecce brings four productions to the region, showcasing the wide range of theater art – from classical tragedy and family tales to improvisation and political cabaret.

• “King Lear” by William Shakespeare
October 17, 8:00 pm, Kunsthaus Nexus Saalfelden
Shakespeare’s famous tragedy about power, age, family, and fragility is staged in a moving production. Syrian actor Salim Chreiki plays King Lear in Arabic, accompanied by surtitles and live music by Gernot Haslauer.
• “The Bremen Town Musicians”
October 24, 10:00 am, Multi-purpose Hall Leogang
Additional performances: October 25 & 30, 5:00 pm
A play for the whole family (ages 5 and up) – with acting, acrobatics, and vibrant live music. An inclusive ensemble tells the story of four outcast animals in search of a better life in Bremen.
• VOLXTHEATERWERKSTATT: “Disabled Love”
October 28, 7:00 pm, Kunsthaus Nexus Saalfelden
In cooperation with Lebenshilfe Salzburg, an evening of improv theater unfolds around the theme of “Disabled Love.” A humorous and touching evening full of impulses, inviting the audience to join in. Admission is free; voluntary donations are welcome.
• “Obscene Fables” by Dario Fo and Franca Rame
October 31, 7:30 pm, Hotel “Der Löwe” Leogang
Subversive, poetic, and comedic monologues about power, morality, and human weaknesses. Performed by Marena Weller and Jurij Diez, directed by Gerard Es.
