The most diverse environment in the Alps is the perfect location for your next event.

Saalfelden Leogang offers numerous possibilities to experience outdoor adventures along with your team. Action-packed examples include completing challenging via ferratas together, soaring through the skies on the Flying Fox XXL zip line or boosting your fighting spirit with a round of archery. And you’ll do it all against the magnificent backdrop of the Leogang mountains and the Steinernes Meer plateau. Business groups can choose from spacious seminar rooms with well-equipped technology and first-class hotels with relaxing wellness offers. At the end of an adrenaline-fuelled day, head to one of the beautiful gardens of our partner hotels to treat yourself to local delicacies from the Pinzgau region.

Climbing, archery, Flying Fox XXL: team events strengthen the team spirit
Excitement is a great addition to any team event, and Saalfelden Leogang has plenty of it on offer – from its via ferratas to the Flying Fox XXL zip line. “That being said, however," says Anna Oja of Outdoor Team Geisler, "action-oriented outdoor programmes act as both a mirror and a projection screen in a non-work environment. They are a great way to strengthen the team from the inside out.” Supervisors and employees get to experience memorable adventures together. Working on tasks as a team helps to foster trust and security in dealing with one another and thus also strengthens the sense of unity. Active events that challenge teams to master unusual situations and root for each other can lead to permanent improvements of the working atmosphere.
Archery, for example, boosts team skills such as dexterity and concentration. Another fascinating option: Attend a herbal workshop with your team and thus learn about Traditional European Medicine (TEM). Participants of the course learn about the healing properties of our native plants. Afterwards, participants prepare their own tincture using freshly picked herbs and roots or create an herbal ointment, all under expert guidance.

Mountain bike routes, ÖAMTC driving safety training and team activities with plenty of action
Teams seeking a physical challenge should visit the Epic Bikepark Leogang. One of Europe’s most renowned facilities of its kind, it has been the heart and soul of our bike region for more than 20 years. Beginners of all ages can practice in the so-called Riders Playground. It’s the ideal place to navigate the trails, stones and roots down the mountain. The "Elements Outdoorsports” bike school offers team trainings to improve your riding technique. In addition, there are incentive e-bike tours for groups of different ability levels. The tours, which lead you through the stunning natural landscapes of our region, strengthen your ability to work as a team while promoting individual self-esteem, consideration for others and a sense of fairness.
Another rewarding activity: off-road training sessions at the ÖAMTC driving safety centre in Saalfelden. The adventure park at the ÖAMTC grounds is just the thing for four-wheel drive fans. Guaranteed fun and action await on its varied outdoor karting circuit. Here, participants can improve their driving techniques on the skid pad, in the forest course or in the aquaplaning pool and learn how to deal with unpredictable traffic situations. In winter, there is the possibility to improve your driving skills at the ice arena. Nature-based team building workshops can also be booked with Outdoor-Team Geisler. They are an excellent environment to relax, spend quality time together and have adventures far from the day-to-day of the office. Creativity and a connection to nature are encouraged. The outdoor team offers courses for canyoning, rafting, 3D-hunting archery and mountain bike tours.

Environmentally friendly meetings at multi-award-winning hotels with participation in green events
Want to enjoy a sustainable overnight stay? It’s possible in the Saalfelden Leogang region. In some hotels, great importance is attached to the topic of environmental protection and sustainability. Electric cars are made available to guests for carbon neutral trips to explore the area. In-house biomass heating plants, wood chip heating systems and composting plants are used to provide energy and special attention is also paid to avoiding waste. Such hotels have already been certified several times for their environmental commitment. With its 130 square meters of solar panels, the Felsenfest climbing gym received an award from the “umwelt (environmental) service salzburg” in full-solar-heating energy category.
Under the leadership of the Verein für Konsumenteninformation (Austrian consumer protection association), the Saalfelden Leogang region and 20 other destinations have jointly developed an objective and independent seal-of-approval certification (Österreichisches Umweltzeichen für Destinationen) for sustainable tourism regions. The first destinations will be certified in 2023. Set a sign, be an example, implement measures: with its membership of respACT (where Saalfelden Leogang is the first regional tourism organisation) and the Climate Alliance (where Saalfelden Leogang is the first tourism organisation in the Salzburgerland) and its climate-themed guided hike, our region is actively living up to its goals.
Of course, you can reach Saalfelden Leogang by train – an environmentally friendly way to travel. You won’t have to worry about traffic, and there are many fast, direct connections from Salzburg, Innsbruck and Munich to Saalfelden Leogang. The Saalfelden Leogang Card, which guests receive free of charge when checking in with any of our partner accommodation providers, allows you to use the local public transport network of Pinzgau free of charge all summer. The Loigom Shuttle in Leogang augments the existing route network by providing on-demand services with two Mercedes eVitos and serves a total of 39 stops. This has created access to the public transport network where there previously was none.
