SAALACHTAL TOUR Touring the Saalachtaler Rundweg between Saalfelden, Maishofen and Maria Alm, intrepid summiteers conquer mountains of the Pinzgauer Grasberge, such as the Sausteige or Hundstein. Alternatively, you can also complete the 3 daily stages closer to the valley itself. The Saalachtaler Rundweg always serves up picturesque scenery: The Zeller See and Ritzensee lie at your feet like glistening diamonds, the snow-covered 3,000ers of the Hohe Tauern are a radiant white, while the mighty rock faces of the Steinernes Meer massif  make an utterly imposing impression. The last 3 daily stages, from Hintermoos via Dienten and Hinterthal to Saalfelden, are easier, leisurely hikes – the ideal conclusion to this tour.
