THE GREAT WORLD THEATRE - Episode 2
Selection procedures, pigeonholing, classifications, admission procedures, examinations, competitions and prize competitions accompany us from birth. Even "invalid" embryos are now "sorted out", "undesirable" characteristics removed with genetic scissors. Life as the ultimate casting show. Who sits on the jury? Who "votes" for whom? Or is the voting just a fake and the roles already determined from the beginning?
When the participants of the VOLXtheaterwerkstatt meet to address these "big" issues, it's like Shakespeare's craftsmen from A Midsummer Night's Dream: it can only get profoundly funny.
The second part of our preliminary studies on the Great World Theatre will be developed and performed by the participants of the VOLXtheaterwerkstatt Saalfelden at Kunsthaus Nexus.
