Here the Avantgarde Maestra, renowned for making the impossible possible with works by Boulez or Bartok, once again combines forces with the trio Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard. “In search of new music”, as their bio says, “the trio focuses on the intersection of contemporary music, experimental and avant-garde jazz”. A recording of SDLW’s explosive improvisations was released on the aptly named label “bastille musique”, raiding European capitals or suburbs in its titles, creating new structures from the ruins – New Music deserving of its name.
