Lieblingsmenschen (Favourite People) is inspired by a true story of an extraordinary friendship between Agnes and Amir. Amir is 31, gay and has just fled Iran. Agnes is 101, a true Berlin original who, in her own opinion, is still far too young for a retirement home. The two move in together, become friends – and end up saving each other's lives.
