Following the early death of her husband, Mrs. Winkler becomes completely dependent on her daughter Emi. When Emi accepts a theatre engagement, a care robot takes over her mother’s care. At first, Mrs. Winkler feels abandoned and rejects the robot. But a friendship develops between the two – with an unexpected twist: the robot is programmed to kill Mrs. Winkler if her vital signs continue to deteriorate.
