The detour is only in the bandname, as the paths of this trio with musicians from Finland, Argentina, and Germany musically lead directly, yet always surprisingly and overwhelmingly, straight to the point. "Adventurous side roads are often more fruitful than the highway," as the guitar virtuoso as bandleader knows. A combination of Kalima's compositions and collaborative improvisations with Leo Genovese on keyboards, organ, Rhodes, and Moog will, at this premiere, "pave the musical way with special grooves from Christian Lillinger," as the leader says. He also hopes that these three (electric) all-stars, well-known in Saalfelden, will "reach the magical rhythmic plateau."
