EKO is a new Berlin-based trio that weaves original compositions by all three members into a collective sonic cosmos. Guitarist Kalle Kalima and saxophonist Daniel Erdmann, who had already played together in the late 1990s, join forces with the young drummer Mia Ohlmeier. Together, they create multi-layered soundscapes that shift between dense, abstract, pulsating passages and relaxed, melodic moments. At the heart of it all is the freedom of the moment: the joy of exploring musical possibilities, allowing for spontaneous twists and turns, and constantly breaking new ground.
