ALM:KULTUR: Concert "HELAGUNKIS"
The Helagunkis come from the Salzkammergut and were founded by Tomcat Tompson and Zug Max at the end of 2011. The unique sound of the Helagunkis is characterized by the combination of two musical instruments from two different musical styles. Rock'n'roll from the 50s and 60s with double bass and traditional local folk music with Styrian harmonica were combined.
A basic concept that has been very popular from the beginning. In the meantime, not only rock'n'roll music is covered, but also Austropop, punk, rock, pop, hip hop, Schlager, folk music etc.... There is hardly a musical challenge that the Helagunkis shy away from. In a very unique way and with a certain pinch of charm, every song becomes something special and this always ensures a good mood and a lasting impression on the audience.
By the way, the name "The Helagunkis" is derived from the word "Heligonka", which is the Czech name for the Styrian harmonica.
