Unterberghaus / Knappenstube
The Unterberghaus is also open in winter and is well suited for a nice winter hike. Cosy and traditional atmosphere with homemade pinzgau specialities in the romantic Schwarzleo valley.
Opening hours: Thursday to Sunday from 12:00 - 21:00
In winter the mine is closed. In summer the "Unterberghaus" snack bar is the starting point for the guided tours and, after visiting the mine, invites you to linger in a cozy ambience and delicious local cuisine. You can also see some very interesting gravel maps of the Schwarzenberg mountain district! Of course there are also souvenirs, which will surely remind you of the visit of our showmaker.

Since the 20th anniversary of the show-mine in 2009, there is a genuine pile-work in the immediate vicinity of the Knappenstube, which can be used to demonstrate how difficult it was for the miners to extract the ore from the excavated rock.
In the winter it is not possible to visit the Schaubergwerk, but it is worth a walk or a romantic sleigh ride to the Knappenstube!
From the parking lot "Forsthofalm" it is about 2.5 km forest road to the Unterberghaus (with a pleasant slope).
