Alpine circular trail connecting the Peter Wiechenthaler Hut and the Steinalm with a secured alpine path. Along the flanks of the Steinernes Meer. Not suitable for families with small children or those with little mountain experience. The circular trail is only suitable for sure-footed and experienced hikers.
A challenging alpine circular route that is easily accessible by public transport. This variant connects two popular hiking destinations in the region: the Peter Wiechenthaler Hut and the Steinalm. The route is only recommended for experienced hikers with a head for heights. There are some very difficult and dangerous passages to negotiate on the steep slopes.
