Stoissengraben

An adventurous hike along a narrow nature trail to the Stoissengraben waterfall

The hiking route follows a narrow natural path through the shady Stoissengraben along the Buchweißbach stream. This adventurous trail leads to the highlight of the tour: the waterfall in the Stoissengraben, which plunges into the depths amidst a small rocky setting and provides a pleasant way to cool off on hot days. If you wish, you can also continue up the waterfall hiking path to the Peter-Wiechenthaler Hut in around 3.5 hours. (Recommended only for experienced, sure-footed walkers in good physical condition.)

Please note: This hike is only recommended for those at least 140 cm tall. The final stretch to the waterfall in particular follows a narrow path and requires sure-footedness and careful attention. Sturdy footwear is recommended. A via ferrata set is recommended for children. There is no mobile phone reception along the route!
