The approximately 28.3-kilometer-long route leads through the beautiful districts of Saalfelden and along some special viewpoints, amidst the beautiful natural landscape of the Saalfelden Basin. The route is not signposted.
The cycling route is an introduction to the Saalfelden Basin made up of merged existing cycle routes with panoramic paths. For the cycling summit in Saalfelden, the Saalfelden Basin circular cycling route was specially digitized by the local tourism association for this purpose, to make digital transformation tangible in this context.
The Saalfelden Basin has a splendid location between the Stein, Grass, and Glacier mountains (Steinernes Meer, Dientner Grasberge, Hohe Tauern, among others). The selected cycling route leads on cycle paths and lightly trafficked roads over a distance of less than 30 km with gentle slopes along the outer edge of the Saalfelden Basin. It touches the “Tauernradweg” and the so-called “Steinbergrunde.”
