Keycard donations raise €15,000 for social association

What may seem like a small amount to many guests has a big impact in Leogang: During the 2025/26 winter season, voluntary Keycard donations raised a total of  € 15,000 for the social association Loigom hoit zomm. The initiative impressively demonstrates how easy it can be to help – and how much can be achieved together.

Behind the campaign is the project DOYO – do your donation, which has been successfully supported for several years by the municipality, the mountain lifts and tourism businesses. The aim is to involve guests in social commitment in an uncomplicated way – directly on site and with minimal effort. The donated amounts go directly to people in Leogang.

Donate easily – help directly
The concept is deliberately kept very simple: the €2 deposit for the ski ticket Keycard can be voluntarily donated at the end of the ski day. Clearly visible collection points are available at central locations:

at the car park barriers at the Asitzbahn
at the valley stations of the Asitzbahn and Steinbergbahn
at numerous hotel receptions
along the ascent route for ski tourers on the Steinberg piste
The campaign is supported by information on screens, in cabins, on social media and in hotel information. This turns a small decision into direct support for people in the local area.

Strong together for the region
The donation amount of €15,000 highlights how much can be achieved through many individual contributions. Every euro donated strengthens social cohesion in the region and helps where support is needed.

Help that makes a difference
The association Loigom hoit zomm works independently and across party lines to support people in Leogang. Its focus includes everyday assistance, neighbourhood help, the lending of medical aids, transport and accompaniment services, as well as personal advice in challenging life situations.

The services are made possible exclusively through donations and voluntary commitment – and this is exactly where the Keycard initiative comes in.

“Being able to help and support people where it is truly needed and where it brings noticeable relief is a great privilege for us. Donation campaigns such as DOYO enable us to provide targeted and unbureaucratic help in Leogang.

At the same time, they strengthen cohesion – both within the municipality and between guests and locals. Loigom hoit zomm – Leogang sozial is very grateful for this support and confident that it will continue to make a positive difference in the future.”
