Golfing with an Alpine view

Hit your tee shot against the spectacular backdrop of snow-capped mountains. What could be better? In Saalfelden Leogang, the most diverse environment in the Alps, there are two truly special 18-hole golf courses: the Urslautal Golf Club and the Gut Brandlhof Golf Club. At the Gut Brandlhof Golf Club, where dogs are welcome, you can play over the Saalach river several times and let golf pro John Seymour help you perfect your swing. With its 5,000 square metre driving range and two golf academies, the Urslautal Golf Club is an impressive venue. Take in panoramic views of the Leoganger Steinberge mountain range and the Steinernes Meer plateau while you work on your swing, then head straight to the luxurious wellness facilities of the local golf hotels for a relaxing end to each perfect day in Saalfelden Leogang.

Gut Brandlhof Golf Club – Alpine views and glorious greens
If you can’t imagine a game of golf without your furry friend, the Gut Brandlhof Golf Club is your destination. Dogs are allowed on the 18-hole course here. They even have their own lounge in the e-golf car.
The Gut Brandlhof Golf Club’s own course is as challenging as it is versatile. You’ll have to hit the ball across the Saalach, a wild mountain river, up to six times! During your round, enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain giants of the Steinernes Meer plateau and the Leoganger Steinberge mountain range. The large, partially covered driving range also features a 6-hole short course for beginners. Play your first tournament here and also meet local Head Pro John Seymour, who is one of the top 50 golf professionals in Europe and gives private lessons for beginners and professionals.
Saalfelden Leogang is a great golf destination even in winter. The Indoor Golf Performance Centre at the Gut Brandlhof hotel is open all year round and even boasts a modern golf simulator. After an exhilarating golf match, round off the day with local specialities at the "Einkehr" club restaurant or in the first-class wellness area of the 4-star superior Gut Brandlhof hotel.

Urslautal Golf Club – featuring an impressive driving range with breathtaking mountain scenery
The Urslautal golf course is located on a high plateau between Saalfelden and Maria Alm, blending seamlessly in the natural landscape. With a total surface area of 5,000 square metres and boasting 60 tees, this golf club also features one of Austria’s best driving ranges. Its fairways are varied, from long and hilly sections to tricky bits, but they are never too steep. Plenty of roughs, water obstacles, biotopes and bunkers await. Every golf match is accompanied by sweeping panoramic views of the Steinernes Meer plateau.
For beginners and advanced players, there are three practice holes and two golf academies. The Urslautal Golf Academy and the Systema Golf Academy offer golf taster courses, private and group lessons (to achieve Platzreife certification), as well as lessons for the whole family.
Probably the best view of the Steinernes Meer plateau can be enjoyed from the terrace of the "Remise" golf restaurant, which awaits golfers at the end of a day on the course. Even non-golfers like to visit the restaurant for the spectacular scenery.

First-class golf hotels: relax and treat yourself after a long day on the green
There are four golf hotels in the Saalfelden Leogang region. These include the Gut Brandlhof hotel, the Krallerhof hotel, the Ritzenhof lakeside hotel and spa and the Lebe Frei Hotel Der Löwe. After a challenging round of golf, golfers round off the day either in the club restaurants of the golf courses or in the well-equipped SPA and sauna areas of the golf hotels.
By the way: you can explore many other golf courses in the area around Saalfelden Leogang. There are 17 additional courses within a radius of around 70 kilometres. In Saalfelden Leogang, you can also use the Golf Alpin Card. It includes three, four or five green fees that are valid at all Golf Alpin partners.
