Regionality Fair Saalfelden inspires for the eighth time

On Sunday, 16 April, the eighth edition of the Regionality Fair took place at Congress Saalfelden, which once again lived up to its motto “Regional products before the curtain”.

More than 30 exhibitors presented a wide range of local products from Saalfelden Leogang and the surrounding area. Regional cuisine, traditional music and a talk by organic farmer Sepp Eisl thrilled the 750 visitors and rounded off the day with a focus on regionality.

Sustainable and innovative: Regionality Fair presents novelties
“Even after eight years in the organization of the Regionalitymesse, we are still pursuing the goal of remaining innovative and developing the event further. Therefore, we are proud to be able to equip the Regionalitymesse with a new, attractive advertising presence”, explains Marco Pointner, Managing Director of Saalfelden Leogang Tourismik GmbH at the opening of the trade fair, referring to the redesign of the event subject. This was implemented together with the advertising agency Wedl and, on the one hand, focuses on the quality and freshness of regional food, but on the other hand also reflects the variety of offers offered by the regional trade fair.

For several years now, the idea of sustainability has been firmly anchored in the mission statement of the Saalfelden Leogang region and is always carried along at events. For this reason, it was a great concern of the organizers to certify the Regionalitungmesse as a Green Event Salzburg for the first time this year. This created an incentive for both the organizers and all participants to think even more sustainably and to conserve resources in the best possible way.

Versatile program convinced young & old
31 exhibitors offered liqueurs, schnapps and various cheeses, bacon and cold cuts for tasting and purchase or lured visitors to their booths with decorative goods, self-made garments, organic natural furniture or natural cosmetics. “D’Zrupftn”, two musicians from Saalfelden and Leogang provided the right atmosphere with traditional music, while the smallest fair visitors, together with the bookbinding company Fuchs, were able to let their creativity run wild and print paper themselves. With culinary delights from Austrian tapas, coffee and cakes from Lebenshilfe Saalfelden, organic ice cream from Misssi Alpenis as well as a cheese raclette from PinzgaKas Mobil, the regional trade fair restaurant met every taste. The taste of his audience was also met by organic farmer Sepp Eisl, who told in his lecture about farming as a family business, about his sea estate Eisl on Lake Wolfgang as well as about the foundation of Eisl-Eis and the expansion to the 1st sheep milk ice cream parlour in Austria.
