Premiere in Saalfelden Leogang: RUSH300

300 kilometers, 2,500 meters of elevation gain, a day to remember

On September 21, 2025, Saalfelden Leogang will celebrate the premiere of a brand-new road cycling highlight: the RUSH300. The name says it all: this long-distance challenge covers 300 kilometers and around 2,500 meters of elevation across SalzburgerLand. Start and finish are set at Ritzensee in Saalfelden. Special guest alongside celebrity guides Julian Eberhard and Philipp Kaider will be former Tour de France stage winner Simon Geschke.

A special ride with prominent company: The RUSH300 on September 21 is not a race, but a shared cycling experience. Participants will ride in guided groups tailored to different performance levels. They will be supported by experienced guides, including former biathlete Julian Eberhard, RAAM winner Philipp Kaider, and former professional cyclist and Tour de France stage winner Simon Geschke.

There will also be a dedicated “Women’s Only Group”.

New this year is the RUSH300 Light edition: covering around 150 kilometers and 1,500 meters of elevation, it offers an attractive alternative for those who want to soak up the special atmosphere of the event while tackling a shorter distance.

The route combines sporting challenge with stunning scenery: passing lakes, along panoramic roads, and up to the Hirschbichl, the demanding final climb that will test many riders. At the top, a culinary surprise awaits as a well-earned reward.

To ensure the best possible conditions, the organizing team will provide professional-level support: four feed stations, mechanical assistance, support vehicles, and a media team will accompany participants throughout the day.

With the RUSH300, Saalfelden Leogang once again positions itself as a leading active destination in SalzburgerLand. “This premiere sends a strong message for sport and community – and brings an extraordinary experience to Saalfelden Leogang. For months, riders have been training together on group rides, and now everyone is excited to finally get started,” emphasizes Marco Pointner, CEO of Saalfelden Leogang Touristik GmbH.

Hans-Peter Kreidl, organizer of RUSHdieSERIE, adds: “The RUSH300 is about more than just kilometers: it’s about togetherness. About the tingling before the start, the legs buzzing, the mental strength on the final climb – and the incomparable feeling of crossing the finish line together. The RUSH300 unites ambitious cyclists with sports enthusiasts from various disciplines – in a challenge that truly gets under your skin.”
