It‘s getting hot in September: for three days, the Saalfelden Leogang region will once again be THE bike hot spot. Special highlight will be the finale of this year’s iXS European Downhill Cup. On Sunday, September 17, from 12.30pm, it will be all about action, adrenaline and speed when the best European downhill athletes will fight for all-deciding points for the season ranking at Bikepark Leogang. Who will take the crown? Will last year’s winners – Slawomir Lukasik (POL) and Veronika Widmann (ITA) – be able to repeat in their respective victories? And who will become the iXS European Downhill Cup Champion in Leogang? Might it be reigning European Champion Eleonora Farina? The Italian came second last year and is currently in the Top Ten in the World Cup ranking. Registrations for the iXS European Downhill Cup here.
On the same day, children and teenagers will get the opportunity to demonstrate their bike skills: at the SCOTT Junior Trophy, kids between 3 and 16 years can gain race experience at Saalfelden Ritzensee. From 10am on, it’s all about fun and physical challenges for the bike rookies.
The festival also offers plenty of side events as well as a team and expo area. The legendary Ö3 disco with Dutch Deep House duo DEEPEND will satisfy all party craving guests on Saturday from 9pm.
