Fatboy hammocks, stools and deck chairs, sun roofs, a giant TV screen – the new GoPro Lounge at the Asitz valley station is more than just a meeting point: enjoy watching cool GoPro videos on the flat screen, soak up the sun in a hammock, check out your own videos and pics from your latest bike experience or have a chat with your friends. Everybody who is interested in the cutting edge action cam will have the chance to find out more at the world‘s only outdoor lounge. Thanks to the touchscreen, guests will be able to step into the GoPro community and educate themselves on GoPro’s newest products. They can also find various tips and tricks for their preferred activities or watch camera tutorials. On a regular basis, there will be promotions where cameras or mounts can be borrowed for testing.
Right now, the GoPro Lounge is entertaining skiers and snowboarders at the Asitz reservoir lake; the feedback is more than positive. Saalfelden Leogang and GoPro threw a winter barbecue for their guests at the end of February. “The GoPro Lounge was very well received by our winter guests. We are excited to be able to offer this unique possibility to bikers and hikers in summer, too”, says Kornel Grundner, CEO of the Leoganger Bergbahnen.
On May 12, it’s back to bike business at Bikepark Leogang. The Asitz cable car will get gravity fans and their bikes up to the mid station on a daily basis, from May 26, the Asitz cable car will take bikers to the top station. When having reached the top, mountain bikers should try the flow trail “HOT SHOTS – fired by GoPro”. With its manifold nature it is fun for all levels of ability and also designed for lots of action, which you can capture with a GoPro camera. All one has to do is switch on the GoPro and start shredding the dirt, which is surrounded by the fantastic panorama of the Leoganger Steinberge.
