Georg Gratzer & Klemens Bittmann
This event has already taken place.Georg Gratzer - Woodwinds
Klemens Bittmann - Violin & Mandola
With over 3600 recorded works, Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767) is one of the most productive composers in the history of music. He influenced the bourgeois concert life by enabling public performances outside of any aristocratic or ecclesiastical framework and thus became the pop star of Baroque music.
Jazz meets Telemann - as nice and concise as this headline would be, it does not go far enough. Georg Gratzer & Klemens Bittmann interpret not only the music of Georg Philipp Telemann in their very personal way, but also well-known melodies by Astor Piazzolla, jazz fusion by John McLaughlin or masterpieces from film music.
Beginning in the baroque era and continuing through to contemporary improvisations, Georg Gratzer & Klemens Bittmann have been illuminating and enlivening the form of the most direct musical dialogue in unusual instrumentation since their time as students.
All concerts are conducted in accordance with the applicable Covid-19 regulations.
