Bergfilmfestival: MIT DEM RAD DURCH AFRIKA: Same S
DE 2026; Directed by Fabienne Engel; Duration: 90 min.; German
Cycling from Freiburg all the way to the Cape of Good Hope: 22 countries, 430 days and more than 15,000 kilometres through Africa’s incredibly diverse landscapes. SAME SUN follows Wiebke Lühmann on her journey through the Sahara, the rainy season, the Congo Basin and the deserts of Namibia. It is not about breaking records, but about encounters, human connection and the search for independence. An honest journey exploring freedom, openness and the realisation that independence does not mean having to do everything alone.
