Freeriding in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn

FREERIDE AREA LEOGANG:

The Freeride area in Leogang is located right next to the L6 Muldenbahn 8er lift and is ideal for those wanting to try out deep snow skiing for the first time. The focus here is on natural terrain, making it perfect for beginners to freeskiing and snowboarding who are looking for gentle powder adventures.

FREERIDE ROUTES:

Freeride routes are well signposted runs which can partly be found off the slopes. But also special ski slopes are sometimes marked as freeride routes as they do not get prepared any more after fresh snowfall.

AVALANCHE BEACON SEARCH FIELDS:

You can find avalanche beacon search fields for practising with your own avalanche transceiver at the peak of Schattberg and at the Zillstatt lift. You have to activate up to four of the six buried transmitters in the search field and track and probe them within a given period of time.

AVALANCHE BEACON CHECKPOINTS:

Throughout the skiing area you find avalanche beacon checkpoints at many key mountain stations. By passing the checkpoints every freerider can easily test whether the life-saving device is turned on and sending out signals.

INFO POINT:

At the Streuböden valley station, freeriders can access a check point with the avalanche warning system LO.LA*, information material and overview maps to plan trips. Further check points are being planned for the entire ski area.
