After a break of two years, we can finally enjoy international jazz music in Saalfelden Leogang in winter again, as the 3 Days of Jazz will take place from 27-29 January 2023.

After a break of two years, we can finally enjoy international jazz music in Saalfelden Leogang in winter again, as the 3 Days of Jazz will take place from 27-29 January 2023. This event will feature six concerts at the Kunsthaus Nexus, two concerts at the Leogang Mining and Gothic Museum and a free concert at the mountain hut Stöcklalm.

The 3 Days of Jazz kicks off on Friday at Kunsthaus Nexus with the band Per "BASS VIKING" Mathisen's Saxophone Inferno with a Norwegian-Austrian line-up. Afterwards, French musician Louis Sclavis and band will perform "Les Cadences Du Monde". The American formation "Scatter The Atoms That Remain" around bandleader and drummer Franklin Kiermyer will close the day. The second day will be opened by the six-piece formation "Hildegard lernt fliegen" around singer and composer Andreas Schaerer. Afterwards, Jordina Millà from Spain and the British artist Barry Guy will perform their original and distinctive music under the title "String Fables". The final sounds of the day will come from the Dutch band "Spinifex".
The popular concerts at the Leogang Mining and Gothic Museum are already completely sold out. In this special setting, the Austrian formation "You promised me poems" will perform on Sunday with music from jazz, folk, chamber music, world, and much more, followed by the duo „SIGMUN“, formed by Austrian Florian Sighartner and Spanish artist Carles Muñoz Camarero. The local band „TJ & The Groove Boots“ invite you to a free concert on Saturday at the Stöcklalm on the Asitz.

Already on Thursday, 26 January 2023, the Kunsthaus Nexus will show the film "INSIDE SCOFIELD" to set the mood for the festival weekend. An entertaining documentary about the composer, musician and family man John Scofield, who in the course of his life and musical career has crossed paths with Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson and Chet Baker.
