BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang a success again

40 workshops with the stars of the scene, 50 top brands presenting their latest products and a new singletrail

- the BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang offered everything a biker’s heart desires and attracted more than 15,000 riders big and small to the region.

For the fifth time this year, Saalfelden invited Leogang to the BIKE Festival and more than 15,000 visitors: the spectacle in the Epic Bikepark Leogang was not to be missed. Sunshine and summer temperatures attracted not only numerous bike-athletes: women in the Pinzgau, but also pro-riders such as Lukas Knopf, Brook Macdonald, Elias Schwarzler and many more. In more than 40 workshops, they made people want to bike and with their tips and tricks they created enthusiasm for the more than 500 course participants.

But not only the experienced bikers: this weekend in Saalfelden Leogang got their money’s worth. Around 140 girls and boys also wanted to get their first racing experience at the VPACE Kids Cup and show that they too are real professionals on the bike. It got even hotter on Sunday at the Scott Junior Trophy, when a total of 80 young riders duelled at the World Champs Pumptrack and provided the best competition atmosphere with their spectacular jumps and action-packed lines.

In addition to the various workshops and community rides, the visitors also took the opportunity to learn about the latest bikes and parts. More than 50 top brands were represented at the BIKE Festival and provided their material for testing. There are more than enough possibilities for this in Saalfelden Leogang, but since this weekend the selection has been expanded once more. With the AlteSchmiede Trail, a further highlight awaits all experienced riders.

Another addition to the Singletrail family: the AlteSchmiede Trail
It was officially opened on Friday. The entrance to the new AlteSchmiede Trail is located above the mountain station at the Asitz and offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains on a length of 3.35 kilometres. The hand-built single trail scores with natural forest passages - fluid turns, northshores and easy technical passages alternate perfectly. Variety and maximum driving fun are thus definitely guaranteed.

The BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang showed once again this weekend that the bike community feels really comfortable here. And it was the perfect start to a long bike autumn, because the full offer can be used at the EPIC Bikepark Leogang until November 5th. For hikers: the cable cars in Leogang even run until the start of the ski operation.
